Love, Laughter, and a Little Sparkle: A Purple & Black Wedding at Carriage Hills Ranch

On September 21, 2025, we had the honor of coordinating a wedding at the beautiful Carriage Hills Ranch in Blanco, Texas. While we were only the couple’s day-of coordinator, I had the joy of working with the bride for over a year to ensure all her personal touches came to life on her big day. And let me tell you, she absolutely shined. Dressed in a dazzling, glittery gown that sparkled from ceremony to reception, she truly lit up every space she entered.

The celebration began at Carriage Hill’s outdoor ceremony site, framed by the venue’s signature gazebo with cascading greenery draping around it. Guests found their seats on the rustic stone benches, fold-out fans in hand (a thoughtful gift from the couple, especially appreciated on such a hot September afternoon!). The aisle was lined with painted white jugs and purple, black and white pompous grass, adding a pop of color to a space. A personal friend of the couple officiated and kept the ceremony short, meaningful, and filled with love. One of my favorite moments was when the couple locked away a bottle of whiskey as unity tradition they’ll open on their first anniversary to relive the joy of their wedding day.
After the heartfelt ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour around Carriage Hill’s antique train car bar. Chuy’s chips and queso were served, adding a fun and familiar touch that had everyone smiling.

Inside the reception hall, there were so many fun details. Guests were welcomed by an antique wagon cart holding a memory display for loved ones who had passed and a custom whiskey barrel lid engraved with the couple’s names. Friends and family signed the lid as a keepsake the newlyweds will treasure forever.
The reception décor was elegant with deep purples paired with black accents, including sleek black chair ties at every seat. The bridal party was seated at a long rectangular table that stretched across the room, while the couple was elevated on the stage at their own sweetheart table, beautifully highlighted for all to see. Just beside them, on a rustic wooden barrel table, was the dessert spread. This included a striking black wedding cake for the couple to cut, a smoked cheesecake groom’s cake, and dozens of cupcakes displayed on wooden stands. It was as beautiful as it was delicious!
Dinner featured more Chuy’s favorites, but this time, hearty plates of enchiladas. Afterward, guests gathered for formal dances before enjoying the dance floor with music by the talented DJ Paul Secrest. Between dances, guests were invited to the fun photo booth (provided by the venue), where they could snap fun pictures and take home instant prints as a keepsake from the celebration.

As if that weren’t enough, the couple spoiled their loved ones with sweet favors: personalized white, gray, and purple M&M’s paired with little heart treats. Their creativity didn’t stop there, personal touches included a giant DIY “C & R” covered entirely in pearls (handmade by the bride herself) and a clever QR code station where guests could leave voicemails with marriage well-wishes.

The night ended with a lovely bubble exit, as friends and family surrounded the newlyweds in a cloud of shimmering bubble, sending them off into married life with joy, laughter, and love. It was such a joy to help this couple bring their vision to life. Even in the Texas heat, their wedding was filled with beauty, fun, and unforgettable details that perfectly reflected who they are.
